An Overview on Digital World 2020 Bangladesh

The digital world is a brand event of the Bangladesh government. It arranges digital expos along with private-public partnerships. The theme of the digital world is to explore the innovation of the ICT sector and collaborate with new technologies. It gives a platform for sharing knowledge in ICT adaptation. Building up networking among entrepreneurs, think-tankers, companies, government officials, industry leaders, and academicians. The event facilitates communication and cooperation between foreign and local investors, venture capitals, icons from the IT World, and futurists.  Digital World was first organized in 2011. The organizer of the event is the ICT Division of the Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information. It was titled “e-Asia 2011”. Accordingly, the event was organized in 2012 titled “Digital World”. It became the brand name of the event later. Since then Digital world was held in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2020.

 

Digital World 2020 was a special edition of the event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was held on 9-11 December 2020. The theme was “Socially Distanced-Digitally Connected”. The management organized the event in both virtual and physical mode. The event featured an opening ceremony, a closing, and an award ceremony. Software showcasing of domestic IT industries to exhibits their products and services. Freelancer conference among the Freelancers. e-Governance expo of government to let know the government online services. Was held Ministerial Conference. It is the major component of the Digital world. It draws the attention of the digital trends and issues around the world among the nations. e-Commerce Expo, for the internet-based economic activities which is arising day by day. Mobile platform innovation expo, Startup showcasing of young entrepreneurs. The musical concert, seminars, and many more are also organized as well.
